A studio is best read through its work. Filter the archive by type, or scroll the whole set. Every project below was designed in-house and detailed to a fifty year horizon.

Project in focus

Fjordhalla

On a granite shelf above the Hardangerfjord, Fjordhalla gathers a concert room, a reading room and a public bath under one long timber roof. The brief asked for a culture house that belonged to the water more than to the road. We answered with a single low volume, a colonnade open to the weather, and rooms tuned for sound and daylight in equal measure.

How we work

One method behind every project

Read our approach

Whether it is a single house or a public building, the work follows the same slow path: listen, sketch, test, detail and build. We would rather resolve a problem on paper than discover it on site.
