VELTAPACK.

How We Produce

From Your Idea
to the Shelf.

A finished pouch is the sum of eight controlled steps, from the first brief to the pallet on your dock. Here is exactly how a Veltapack pack comes to life, and where we hold the standard.

The Approach

As you describe it, we start seeing it on the shelf.

Browse the Formats

Good packaging is not handed over a wall. From the first conversation, our engineers, printers and quality team work the brief as one problem: what has to be protected, how it should look, how it will run on the line and how it should be recovered at the end of its life.

Because film, print, lamination and forming all happen under one roof, we control the standard at every handover. Nothing leaves our floor until it has passed the same tests, every batch, every time.

The Journey

From Brief to Delivery, in Eight Steps

Each step adds a capability and a checkpoint. Follow a pack from idea to pallet.

01

Brief & Discovery

We start with the product, not the pouch.

What is inside, how long it must stay fresh, where it sells and at what volume. The brief sets the barrier, the format and the print route before a single drawing is made.

02

Structure & Material Design

Engineering the layers that do the work.

Our R&D team specifies the laminate: the barrier films, sealant and, wherever possible, a recyclable mono-material design that keeps performance while staying stream-ready.

03

Printing

Rotogravure for scale, digital for speed.

Nine to ten colour gravure holds the finest detail across long runs, while our digital facility makes short runs, versioning and fast launches affordable. Colour is proofed and locked before the run.

04

Lamination

Bonding the layers into one structure.

Solventless lamination joins the printed film to its barrier and sealant layers with minimal emissions, then cures into a single, robust web ready for finishing.

05

Slitting & Rewinding

Cut to width, tensioned to run clean.

The master reel is slit to the exact web widths the next machine needs and rewound under controlled tension, so roll-stock feeds cleanly on our line or on yours.

Pouch Making & Forming

From flat web to finished format.

Doypack, flat-bottom, zip-lock and spouted formats are formed and sealed, with zippers, spouts, valves and tear-notches applied in line. Seals are the difference between a pack and a promise.

07

Quality Control

Every batch is tested, not sampled by chance.

When production is complete, each batch is checked against the locked specification: seal strength, leak and burst, print registration and barrier performance. Only conforming lots ship.

Logistics & Delivery

Coded, palletised and on the road.

Finished goods are traceably coded, packed and palletised, then dispatched to more than 25 countries. Repeat orders run against the same tested spec, so what shipped last time ships again.

Quality Control

The last step
is the one that matters most.

A pouch that looks right can still fail on the shelf. Our laboratory checks the things a customer never sees, so the pack does exactly what the spec promised.

Seal Strength

Peel and burst tested so the pouch survives filling, transit and the customer.

Leak & Integrity

Vacuum and dye checks confirm there is no path in or out of the pack.

Barrier Performance

Oxygen and moisture transmission measured against the shelf-life target.

Print & Migration

Colour to proof, registration in tolerance and food-contact compliance verified.

The Technology

The Machines Behind the Standard

Two print routes, solventless lamination and in-line inspection, all under one roof.

Rotogravure press producing high volume packaging print

9 to 10 Colour Rotogravure

Vivid, repeatable print at industrial volume, holding the finest detail across the longest runs.

Digital packaging print facility for short runs and versioning

Digital Print Facility

HP Indigo-class technology that makes short runs, versioning and rich artwork affordable.

Automated pouch converting and coding line

Converting & Inspection

Solventless lamination, pouch forming and in-line inspection with traceable coding on every unit.

Getting Started

What to send us with your brief

  • The product and fill weight, so we can set the barrier and format.

  • Target shelf life and market, so the structure matches the claim.

  • Artwork or a rough concept, in vector where possible, plus any brand colours.

  • Annual volume and your fill line, so we recommend roll-stock or finished pouches.

Ready When You Are

Bring us the idea. We will walk it to the shelf.

Every project runs the same eight steps and the same tests. Tell us where you are, from blank page to reorder, and we will pick it up from there.
